जगदलपुर। राष्ट्रीय तम्बाकू नियंत्रण कार्यक्रम के तहत बस्तर जिले के सभी स्कूलों और पयर्टन स्थलों को तम्बाकू मुक्त क्षेत्र बनाया जाएगा। आज मुख्य चिकित्सा एवं स्वास्थ्य अधिकारी की अध्यक्षता में आयोजित जिलास्तरीय समन्वय समिति की बैठक में तम्बाकू और पान मसाला के सेवन को हतोत्साहित करने के लिए स्थानीय बोलियों में प्रचार-प्रसार पर जोर दिया गया।
जिले में स्थित चित्रकोट और तीरथगढ़ पर्यटन स्थल की सीमा से 100 गज दूरी पर पीली लाईन खींचकर इसे तम्बाकू मुक्त क्षेत्र बनाया जाएगा। इसके साथ ही सभी शैक्षणिक संस्थानों को भी तम्बाकू मुक्त क्षेत्र बनाकर टीआॅईएफआई अवार्ड के लिए नामांकित करने की कार्यवाही की जाएगी। सभी शासकीय कार्यालयों के साथ ही निर्माण स्थलों को भी तम्बाकू मुक्त क्षेत्र बनाने के लिए श्रम विभाग के सहयोग से कार्य किया जाएगा।
