बीजापुर। माओवादियों के शहीदी सप्ताह को ध्यान में रखते हुये दिनांक 27.7.2020 को डीआरजी की टीम थाना तोयनार एवं कुटरू से गुमनेर के जंगल में माओवादी विरोधी अभियान पर रवाना हुई थी। बीजापुर पुलिस द्वारा प्रेसविज्ञप्ति जारी कर बताया कि अभियान के दौरान दिनांक 28.7.2020 को सुबह 08ः30 बजे पुलिस बल गुमनेर के जंगलों में पहुचीं। जहां माओवादी शहीदी सप्ताह मनाने के लिए एकत्रित हुए थे। पुलिस पार्टी को देखकर माओवादी फायरिंग शुरू कर दिया, जवाब में पुलिस पार्टी द्वारा भी माओवादियों को मुहतोड़ जवाब दिया गया। जिससे माओवादी पुलिस को भारी पड़ता देख जंगल व पहाड़ की आड़ लेकर भाग खड़े हुए।
मुठभेड़ पश्चात जंगल को सर्च करने पर मौके से 03 टेंट, 10 पिट्ठू बैग, 01 कुकर बम, कार्डेक्स वायर, बिजली का तार, बैटरी, नक्सली वर्दी, दवाईयां, माओवादी साहित्य, नक्सली फोटोग्राफ, एवं दैनिक उपयोग की सामग्री बरामद किया गया।
