सुकमा। दक्षिण बस्तर सुकमा में नक्सलियों के शीर्ष कमांडर वेट्टी रामा ने आज सुकमा पुलिस के सामने सरेंडर कर दिया है। वेट्टी रामा ने स्वीकार किया कि राज्य सरकार पुनर्वास नीतियों से प्रभावित होकर व माओवादियों के शोषण और हिंसा से तंग आकर की नक्सलवाद छोड़ने व सरेंडर करने के बारे में सोचा।
वेट्टी रामा बस्तर में नक्सलियों के लिए बड़ा नाम है, जो ना सिर्फ जवानों के खिलाफ कई नक्सली वारदात में शामिल था। वेट्टी रामा पिछले 23 सालों से नक्सली संगठन में सक्रिय था और कई बड़े पदों में पदस्थ था। बस्तर आईजी विवेकानंद सिन्हा, डीआईजी रतनलाल डांगी और एसपी अभिषेक मीणा के सामने वेट्टी रामा ने इंशास रायफल के साथ सरेंडर किया।
बता दें कि नक्सली वेट्टी रामा पर पुलिस ने 8 लाख रुपये इनाम घोषित कर रखा था। मिली जानकारी के मुताबिक वेट्टी रामा 2006 से 2011 तक के नक्सलियों के भेज्जी का एनओसी कमांडर रहा है। 2011 और 2014 में कोंटा एरियां कमेटी का जनताना सरकार का अध्यक्ष भी रहा। 2014 से अब तक नक्सलियों की दलम कम्पनी का कमांडर एवं नक्सली छात्र संगठन का अध्यक्ष भी रहा है।
इस आत्मसमर्पण से माना जा रहा है शासन व प्रशासन की नीतियों से प्रभावित होकर वेटटी रामा ने सरेंडर करने की इच्छा जाहीर की है। नक्सली संगठन से जूडे बडे़ नेता के आत्मसमर्पण को सुकमा पुलिस की एक बड़ी सफलता के रूप में देख जा सकता है।
