पुलिस अधीक्षक नारायणपुर जितेन्द्र शुक्ला ने इस घटना की पुष्टि करते हुए बताया कि डीआरजी के जवान सर्चिंग पर निकले थे, सर्चिंग के दौरान गुमियाबेड़ा के पास जवानों की नक्सलियों के साथ मुठभेड़ हो गई। जवाबी कार्यवाही में जवानों ने 4 नक्सलियों को मार गिराने में कामयाबी हासिल की।
