जगदलपुर। बस्तर में रियासत काल से अर्थात वर्ष 1408 से बस्तर दशहरा पर्व आज भी अनवरत जारी है, यह पर्व की अखंड पौराणिक परम्पराओं की विरासत को सहजे रखने की स्थापित मान्यता ही इसकी पहचान है। पूरे विश्व में बस्तर दशहरा अपनी शताब्दियों पुरानी विशिष्ट परम्पराओं-मान्यताओं के कारण अलग पहचान रखता है।
इसी कड़ी में शहर में 75 दिनों तक चलने वाले बस्तर दशहरा के तहत् आज काछन-जात्रा पूजा की रस्म निभाई गई। जगदलपुर के काछनदेव मंदिर के पास अनुराधा दास को काछन देवी के रूप में विराजमान किया गया। देवी की विधि-विधान से पूजा-अर्चना के बाद काछन देवी से बस्तर दशहरा मनाने की अनुमति ली गई। इसके अलावा विधि-विधान से रथ निर्माण के दौरान नार फोड़नी रस्म भी निभाई गई। इसके तहत रथ के लिए बनाए गए लकड़ी के पहियों में छेद करके उसकी पूजा-अर्चना की गई।
इस विधान के दौरान राज परिवार के सदस्य और बस्तर दशहरा समिति के साथ ही मां दंतेश्वरी मंदिर के पुजारी के अलावा काफी संख्या में ग्रामीण व श्रद्धालु उपस्थित रहे।
