Raipur, Chhattisgarh Chief Election Commissioner Mr. Subrat Sahu on Tuesday met various representatives of the regional and national political parties in connection with the impending Lok Sabha elections in April. As the Model Code of Conduct is enforced all the political parties had been given a detailed programme of the General Elections. The Chief Election Officer gave a detailed presentation the Model Code of Conduct for all the participating parties, electoral expenditure and MobileApps for the smooth conduct of elections and close co-ordination between the candidates, authorities and common citizens.
Chief Election Officer Mr. Subrat Sahu said that the first phase of polls will be held for the Bastar Lok Sabha seat on 1th April. In the second phase elections will be held for Kanker, Rajnandgaon and Mahasamund LokSabha seats on 18th April. In the third phase General elections will be conducted for Durg, Raipur, Bilaspur, Janjgir-Champa, Korba Raigarh and Surguja seats.
